Certifications Engineer / Quality Manager
Commitment to quality, excellence, and to meeting and exceeding customer expectations were deeply ingrained into Mac’s work ethic over his 23 years at Motorola. Mac has over 25 years of experience in compliance testing and approvals and many years of experience with Guide 25 / 17025 accredited quality systems. This makes Mac a natural fit for ACS where he will be assuming the role of Quality Assurance Manager and Certification Engineer.
While at Motorola, Mac had a great career starting as a Test System Engineer in the Boynton Beach, Florida Paging factory. Mac later designed an EMC Lab and took over regulatory testing and approvals. Mac also became one of the early Bluetooth Qualification Bodies recognized by the Special Interest Group during this time.
Mac later worked as a BQB and EMC Engineer for Hyper Corporation and then as EMC Engineer at Tyco Sensormatic before returning to Motorola Solutions in Plantation, FL in 2005.
Mac was lead engineer and Global Technical and Quality Manager for the Motorola Solutions EMC labs and spent a few years in the Motorola Solutions EME lab.
Mac is a Six Sigma Green Belt, a trained 17025 assessor, has published and presented several papers at the IEEE EMC Symposia, served as Task Group leader for Radiated Emissions and Part 90 Groups for the 1st edition of the newly published ANSI C63.26 standard, and has just taken the Vice Chair position for the 2nd edition. He will be the Primary Representative for ACS on ANSI ASC 63, where we will take an active role in developing the test methods that we test our customer’s products to delivering a new level of Quality and Excellence.
He has very long standing relationships with many members of our team and looks forward to being part of the ACS family and serving our customers with the level of quality and excellence that we bring to our customers, which he demands of himself.
