If you surround yourself with good people who are the best at what they do, you’ll have a team that is ready to tackle any challenge and overcome any obstacle. This is the philosophy with which Scott Proffitt co-founded ACS, and it remains a guiding force of the company today. Our people help customers navigate the compliance process and ensure that the experience is just as rewarding and positive as the results.

After earning a BA in Communications from the University of Georgia in 1991, Scott joined US Technologies, Inc. where he held multiple positions, including Director of Sales and Marketing, while cutting his teeth in the compliance testing industry.

In 2001, Scott co-founded ACS with his brother, Michael. As President, he leverages his experience in the testing and manufacturing worlds to guide the company at the strategic level. An integral component of that strategy is to ensure that the ACS team is fully stocked with skilled professionals who are able to deliver innovative, effective solutions to unique client challenges.

In addition to his role as co-founder and President of ACS, Scott serves as Chairman of the IEEE EMC Society, Atlanta Chapter, a role he has been honored to fill since 2003.

In his free time, you will find Scott anywhere but a lab. He loves all things outdoors, including skiing, sailing, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoys college football, competitive racing, and a bit of light reading: his favorite topics – American history, pre-Revolutionary War through the Civil War.
