Agricultural and forestry equipment requires product testing for use in the EU as well as any countries that prescribe to the international version of the EMC compliance standard. In the EU, the EMC Directive will govern the EMC compliance via the requirements found in EN ISO 14982 and all of the supporting standards referenced in that standard. ACS provides product testing and certifications to meet these requirements:
In the European Union (EU), the CE marking method is the guideline to demonstrating compliance to all applicable compliance standards. EMC, Product Safety, Energy Efficiency, and Wireless all fall under the single “umbrella” mark of CE.
- EMC is broken down into emissions and immunity test requirements. Emissions testing per EN ISO 14982 are generally performed at the manufacturer’s site due to the size of the equipment under test, as long as the remote site complies with the requirements of EN ISO 14982. Testing per EN ISO 14982 can also be performed at the laboratory on smaller products, as well as on the Electronic Sub-Assemblies (ESA) to show compliance for the complete product.
ACS recognizes that as other markets are sought, much leveraging can be done from the requirements met within North America and the European Union.
For countries in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and wherever else you want to market your product, ACS has the team to help get you there. ACS engineers have decades of experience managing international access projects.
